Sleep
silently keep
near and close
midnight thoughts, my darkened azure
misty wonders
from the quilted sky
tonight aimlessly falling
from the corner of my eye
lost and lonely like you and I
frost and raw like the brittle core
floating insipid in circles
with no temptation to cure
Down and under
the woven shore
tiding with the black
old memories lure
give me no light
of that I'm sure
take my sight
make me see no more
just let me see you unhindered
as you become much more
just let me sleep tender
as I wistfully gaze my shore
the twinkling guests in attendance
are eager to take the ride
all of them longing, like me
in the wait of the hidden sight
the moaning moon, far removed
lets out a whimper now and then
in the sordid shadows
I see fleeting glimpses of home
of lost passages traveled in time
that once radiated benign
lost for colors and fallen out of time
the melodies and lullabies are
soothing no more
In nature's lap I surrender
my love for concrete has gone obscure
